What’s New at St. James Court?
I’m getting ready to return to the St. James Court Art Show in Louisville, Kentucky, and this year I’m bringing more than mosaics for the wall! You’ll find me in the Belgravia Court section at Booth B3-65, with original artwork in a wide variety of sizes, styles, and price points.
I often hear people say that original art is too expensive. I want to challenge that idea. Art is an investment, but that doesn’t mean it has to be out of reach. Whether you spend a few dollars on a sticker or take home a large original mosaic, you are supporting a working artist and choosing something made with creativity, time, and intention.
Here are a few things to look for in my booth this year!
1. Cards: Send a Little Art
Need a unique card for someone special? I’ll have a selection of cards featuring my artwork that you can give, mail, frame, or simply keep for yourself.
And yes, Christmas is coming! Instead of the usual box of holiday cards, consider supporting a working artist this year. Variety packs will be available, making it easy to share a little Mosaicweh with friends and family.
2. Stickers: A Little Mosaicweh for Everyone
Stickers are fun for all ages and one of the most affordable ways to take a piece of my artwork home with you!
Some feature images of my larger mosaics that barely had a chance to travel to art shows before finding their forever homes. Even though the originals may be gone, their designs can continue traveling on water bottles, notebooks, laptops, and wherever else you decide they belong.
3. Small Furniture: Functional Mosaic Art
I’ve created mosaic furniture in the past, but I’ve never brought it to St. James Court!
This year, a few small furniture pieces are making the trip to Louisville. My more recent pieces feature a coat of resin over the mosaic surface, helping make them more functional, durable, and easier to clean. I love the idea that mosaic doesn’t always have to hang on a wall—it can become part of your everyday space.
4. Mirrors: Made for Those Awkward Spaces
My mosaic mirrors have always been a fan favorite, so naturally I had to make another batch!
This year I’m creating long, skinny mirrors designed with those difficult-to-fill spaces in mind. You know the spot—the narrow wall where nothing seems quite right? These might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.
5. Small Cut-Out Animals: Original Art Under $50
Look toward the top of my display and you’ll find a whole collection of small cut-out animals. Every one is an original mosaic priced under $50.
Dogs, cats, birds, chickens, and crows are all part of the collection—and this year, DUCKS have joined the flock! 🦆 Each is individually created, so even within the same animal design, no two are exactly alike.
Original Art at Every Price Point
My booth has everything from cards and stickers to small original mosaics, mirrors, furniture, and larger statement pieces. You don’t have to start your art collection with the biggest piece in the booth. Start with something that makes you smile, reminds you of a place or animal you love, or simply feels like it belongs with you.
Original art is meant to be enjoyed and cherished. I work hard to offer pieces at different price points so more people can experience the joy of owning something made by an artist’s hands.
