Alverno College, Arts & Culture Gallery in Alexia Hall
The Creative Playground Opening Reception celebrates the launch of a unique exhibition that explores the power of collaboration in the creative process. Featuring works by teams of artists from across Wisconsin, the exhibition highlights what’s possible when makers step outside their individual practices to create together. Join us for an evening of art, connection, and community. Learn more about opening reception activies on Wisconsin Craft’s website. Registration Requested.
Collaborative Collage Project
During the opening reception, everyone is welcome to contribute materials and ideas to a shared mixed-media artwork. The piece will be created collectively throughout the evening and then displayed in the gallery for the remainder of the exhibition. I’m excited to offer an accessible, hands-on way for attendees to engage with the spirit of collaboration and creative play that defines this exhibition.
Run Rabbit Run: Pat Kroth & Amy Weh
Pat Kroth and I created this collaborative piece by blending my mosaic process with her fiber-based work, layering reclaimed materials and textures through shared experimentation. The piece reflects a true back-and-forth collaboration—built through conversation, problem-solving, and a mutual love for mixed media.
